School Evaluation and Development

School Evaluation Form (SEF)

The purpose of a School Evaluation Form (SEF) is to share with the wider community key information about the school. The Courtyard's SEF documents how we judge ourselves against four categories which are crucial to the development of learners. These areas are also inspected by Ofsted when a school inspection takes place and the Courtyard SEF documents the progress that we have made since the last inspection. They are:

  • Quality of education
  • Behaviour and attitudes
  • Personal development
  • Leadership and management

The Courtyard school team, including governors, has self-evaluated the school against the categories, describing the reasons why the conclusions have been reached, what we intend to do next in these areas and the impact these changes have had once implemented. Access the document here.

School Development Plan (SDP)

The School Development Plan (SDP) is a working document used to set priorities and monitor progress throughout the year.

We are an ambitious school and we have high expectations for all our pupils and staff. We aim to maintain outstanding standards in all aspects of our work.

This document sets out the strategic priorities agreed by the Governing Body, Head teacher and Senior Leaders. It is informed by the school’s rigorous self-evaluation system and by the School’s Vision: to offer an outstanding educational and social provision that will equip our pupils with the skills and experiences needed to discover and live out their potential.
