Christmas Festivities December 2021
On 15th December 2021, Christmas came to The Courtyard and students and staff got into the festive spirit. A team effort by all to enjoy carols, homemade treats and games!
Miss Lucas has been working with the school choir over the Autumn term to rehearse the lovely Christmas sing-along concert. All choir members dressed up as Christmas characters and gave it their all belting out Christmas classics!
The School Council have been working hard over the half term to organise the event and came up with some great ideas that would entertain students, teachers and parents. After the glorious Christmas sing-along, Home Cooking and Hospitality students provided homemade mince pies, cake and hot chocolate. Students worked on Christmas themed artwork for the Art Competition where students and guests voted for their favourite. The lucky winner and runner ups received Amazon vouchers as an early Christmas present. The students were delighted to play Pie the Teacher where Miss Dixon, Miss Coburn and Mr Eardley got pies in the face all in the name of charity.
The Courtyard also participated in Christmas Jumper Day on the 10th December and collectively the school has raised £53 for Save the Children which will go towards providing a family in Yemen with enough food for a month.
