The Courtyard results
Our Sixth form pupils achieved excellent at the end of the last academic year. Pupils studied IB courses, BTEC courses and GCSE courses. All pupils achieved success and have moved on to a range of further education provisions, including Kingston University, The Leighton Project and an apprenticeship at Saddlers Well Theatre.
Key Stage 4
We are extremely proud of all pupils in Year 11, who completed a range of courses to prepare them for further studies in Key Stage 5. We saw a fantastic performance in all areas of our curriculum offer, which are outlined below.
Six of seven Year 11 pupils are remaining at the Courtyard for their KS5 studies. One pupil has secured a place at BSix College to study a Diploma in Computer Studies.
Due to the impairments associated with the ASD condition, it is difficult for Courtyard pupils to sit five or more GCSEs and for them to achieve A* to C grades.
0% of pupils achieved a A* to C in five or more GCSE subjects, including English and maths.
0% of pupils achieved the English Baccalaureate.
100% of Year 11 pupils made expected or better progress in English
85.7% of Year 11 pupils made expected or better progress in maths.
100% of Year 11 pupils made expected progress in ICT.
Three pupils of seven Year 11 pupils sat GCSEs and all obtained an A* to D grade. The subjects they studied were GCSE English, maths and art.
Pupils also studied BTEC science and home cooking level 2 and achieved pass grades.
Preparation for adult life
Our alternative curriculum offer provided pupils with the opportunities to develop their skills in self-confidence, self-esteem and independence. All pupils have made expected progress in these courses which prepares them well for their further studies.
