Outstanding Education Award Nomination for Mrs Shepherd

The Courtyard is delighted to share the wonderful news that our Headteacher, Deborah Shepherd, has been nominated and short listed for the Outstanding Education Award as part of the Autism Hero Awards. 

The Autism Hero Awards, taking place on Saturday 9 November, has been created by the Anna Kennedy Online Charity as an opportunity to showcase and celebrate the excellence taking place in the world of Autism. 

Deborah Shepherd says of her nomination, 'It is an absolute honour to be representing the Courtyard school at the awards. I am humbled that staff, pupils and parents joined together to put together this nomination. Working at the Courtyard, and in the world of Autism, is a huge pleasure and and something of a vocation for me. I am passionate about creating the correct learning environment for these amazing individuals so that they can develop the knowledge, skills and understanding to access future opportunities. I am very much looking forward to the evening of celebration and meeting all of the finalists and hearing of their journeys and their life changing contributions.'
