Intent-

The curriculum is designed to incorporate awareness days and celebrations into the school calendar to equip pupils’ with knowledge, empathy and acceptance of difference. This in turn creates a more inclusive school environment for students to explore their own identities within.

Implementation-

Our school will have off timetable events once every half term. This may look like an off timetable lesson, a school celebration or going on a trip. The activities will focus on developing vocabulary around diversity.

All students will experience a number of experiences which will enrich and educate them.The curriculum will be underpinned by the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.

Impact-

The curriculum will create a culture of belonging where each individual is celebrated for who they are, rather than being tolerated.
