Sixth Form Social - Borough Market

SIXTH FORM TRIP TO “BOROUGH MARKET”
Dear Parent/Carer,
As part of the social agenda for the Sixth Formers, the Courtyard is inviting the students to eat out together. We will be taking students to Borough Market at London Bridge and then Southwark Cathedral afterwards. This outing will be a valuable cultural experience, with Borough market being one of the oldest markets in London, there is an abundance of food from all over the world, with the opportunity to try different food from stalls. Southwark Cathedral is home to an exquisite stained-glass portrait of William Shakespeare, which will be an interesting reference for Creative Expression students.
Students will be catching the tube to London Bridge station with members of staff. We will be leaving the Courtyard at 2:30pm and finish by 6:00pm. Students will be dismissed from the Cathedral. Your child can either go home on his/her own from Borough Market or you can pick him/her up.
The cost of market food will not be covered by the school. Students must bring their own money to purchase food at the market. Please be advised that your child will be responsible for any valuable items they bring with them.
Details for the day are as follows:
Date of Visit: Friday 7 February 2020
Venue: 8 Southwark St, London SE1 1TL
Cost: £10-£15 for food.
Time: from 2:30pm - 6:00pm
If you would like your child to take part in the trip to the “Borough Market”, please complete the reply slip below and return to Miss Lucas.
