HALF TERM WORKSHOPS IN ISLINGTON

Dear Parent/Carer,

I am writing to inform you of the various workshops and classes taking place over the half term break in Islington.

Lift Islington is a local organisation that offer a range of activities for young people, as well as personal advice for young people applying for apprenticeships, college applications, CVs, looking for work, volunteering or developing projects. They also offer opportunities to develop skills and experience for employment.

Lift Islington also offer a 30-station gym equipped with the latest specialist kit, media and computer suite, kitchen, a large dance studio and a rooftop terrace. The half term break will be an excellent opportunity for pupils to explore some of the various weekly events taking place, from Music Production courses to Boxing Training sessions.

Below are some of the workshops taking place, which can simply be attended on the day for a fee as little as 50p per session. If students enjoy the session it would be an excellent opportunity to continue the sessions and develop their skills, passions and prep for the workplace. All information is on the website: http://www.liftislington.org.uk

The class is also about learning self-discipline and how to use exercise to de-stress. You will have fun while getting fit. The first hour is for all levels. Whether it’s your first time trying boxing or you have a fight coming up and you need to make that weight, all are welcome. The second hour is for more advanced levels of training.”

These are just two of the workshops taking place within the City of Islington. Please check the school’s website for other creative websites referenced and the workshops they will be offering over the break too.
