Re: School Climate Protest at Islington Town Hall

Dear Parent/Guardian,

The next Islington school climate protest is taking place on Friday 14 February outside Islington Town Hall from 9:30am to 10:30am. Various officials including the Islington mayor, council representatives and local press will be present to show their support and capture the moments of this uplifting event.

Your son/daughter has been selected to take part in the event as a Courtyard representative. This is the perfect opportunity for students who are interested in climate issues to verse their opinion on a wider stage. Some students will be holding banners that they would have made with their Art teacher in preparation for the event, other students will be performing a sketch and delivering speeches that they would have prepared with their Creative Expression and World Studies teachers.

Students will be required to attend school at the usual time of 8:30am and will travel to and from the event with members of staff on foot. If you are happy for your child to be an active participant please return the permission slip below to the school office by Monday 3 February. If you have any questions or concerns please email Ms Dias for further information.

Yours faithfully,

C.Dias
