RSPB Workshop - Wednesday 18 March 2020
The Courtyard has arranged a workshop run by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) on Wednesday 18 March 2020. This is an opportunity for students to learn about nature around them. Every workshop involves at least 30 minutes of outdoor discovery, allowing our pupils to experience the natural world first-hand.
Learning outdoors promotes health and wellbeing, confidence and positive relationships. All workshops encourage critical thinking through active hands on learning. They also encourage working scientifically, using simple equipment. Don’t worry if you think our grounds have nothing to offer nature – RSPB will be here to help us find the biodiversity on our doorstep.
As this is a 75 minute session, depending on the weather, your son/daughter will be permitted to bring in wet weather clothing like wellington boots and a waterproof jacket in case it rains. If it's a hot day they may wish to bring a hat and sun-cream.
Please be advised, your child will be expected to arrive at school at the usual time of 8:30am.
Venue: The Courtyard, St Mary Magdalene Church Gardens.
Students will walk with staff to observe the birds and explore St Mary Magdalene Church Gardens.
