Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy - Covid Addendum
Safeguarding
Safeguarding remains the number one priority for the Courtyard school, regardless of whether a pupil is being educated onsite or remotely.
In light of the Covid pandemic, an addendum has been written to the school's Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy. This addendum can be viewed here.
The Courtyard School ensures that child protection procedures are in place so that every pupil is safe and protected. We work together as a community to make sure the pupils feel secure, are encouraged to talk and are listened to. Our pupils are provided with the necessary support to keep them safe and build their self-esteem and self-confidence.
We offer a broad curriculum offer which includes activities and opportunities that will equip our children with the skills they need to stay safe.
At all times we work to establish effective working relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues from other agencies such as Health or Social Care.
Within the school our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Deborah Shepherd, Headteacher. Concerns about the safety of a child should be reported directly to Deborah - deborah.shepherd@smmathecourtyard.org.
The Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) is:
Louise Norman, Deputy: Behaviour and Safety.
She can be contacted via email - louise.norman@smmathecourtyard.org
Further support can also be offered via the Islington Safeguarding Children's Board.
